Word of the year and goals 2016

2016 for Jess

2015 was an amazing year. It was the year I became a Mummy. It was a year of adjustment and working out new routines and priorities. It changed me to the core. Goals that I set previously no longer resonated with me and I had a new set of goals I wanted to work towards.

This year I’m being a bit more realistic with my goals. Last year I put too much pressure on myself – I totally underestimated how little time I would have; babies keep you busy!

My Word for 2016

The word I have chosen for 2016 is THRIVE.

When I was working through my goals this word keep popping up and it resonates so deeply with me.

Thrive

I want to thrive in my faith, health, relationships, motherhood/parenting, creatively, emotionally and physically. With all of these I’m going to have goals set for each of these areas with thriving in mind.

Thriving for me is stepping up, flourishing, being present.

Goals

I’m still working through my Leonie Dawson Workbooks so I haven’t totally finished. I’ve still got some work to do in the business workbook. I’m not going to put all of my goals here. But here are a few:

  1. Drink 2 litres of water a day
  2. Read 1 book per month (or listen via audible)
  3. Solo retreat
  4. Have a girls weekend
  5. 2 family holidays
  6. Weekend away with Phil
  7. Date night at least once a month
  8. Do something creative each week (sew, draw, paint, knit)
  9. Blog on my personal blog twice a month
  10. Grow my YouTube channel to 1000 subs
  11. Launch a product for Female Business Hub.
