Janine’s Personal Blog – November 2016
Welcome Hublets! It’s time for reflection on the month just passed and to set my intentions for December, so here is my personal blog for November 2016.
It’s the last day of November, and oh my goodness was it cold today! I left the house at 6:30 AM and it was minus 6.5 degrees. After clearing the ice off the car and thawing my hands out I set off. It was a beautiful morning, everything was so still and peaceful. Frosty, crisp and white. And so the countdown to Christmas begins tomorrow. Time for me to reflect on the month gone by.
Last month I shared how it was a challenging month and due to some changes in my personal circumstances, we needed to tighten the purse strings. I also decided to take on a part time job in the morning as a care worker to help get us sorted. And oh wow, how I love it. I actually feel like I am making a difference and helping people. It’s so humbling, wonderful and satisfying to be able to help just one person … just like the story of the Starfish.
During this change of morning routine as I am leaving at 6:30 AM every morning, it has meant Abi, my eldest has had to be Mum in the morning and sort Daniel out. Fortunately, they both leave at the same time and get on the same bus so that works well.
Oh my days! I almost forgot… Abi passed her driving test on the 22nd November. I now have a live in taxi and a young adult in the house?! I am so proud of Abi, she did it first time and in the pouring rain at 8:10 AM in the middle of Town!
I also started getting up at 5:30 every morning to gain some clarity and perspective of my day. Has anyone read Hal Elrod’s book? Miracle Morning – that’s me! Now that my time is so limited, I have to be extra careful with where and when I spend my time. I will let you know next month how that is going.
To recap, my intentions for November:
- plan our new product launch for the FBH – awesome planning session with Jess last week, lots to do but we have a plan
- plan my own new workshops for 2017 – these are well underway and I am looking forward to sharing details of this in next months blog
- look after me – fitness – wellbeing – lifestyle – totally changing this by adopting Hal Elrod’s Miracle Morning
- more family time – totally getting more family time in – life is too short and precious
December will be another challenging month. However, we shall get through it with love and gratitude. My intentions are to just enjoy the festive season, family time and head down for planning for the best start for 2017!
Enjoy December and do feel free to share your month below.
