Janine’s Personal Blog – July 2016
Happy Thursday Hublets! It’s the end of the month and time for reflection on the month just passed and to set my intentions for August, so here is my personal blog for July 2016.
July continues to be a month of change, transition and reflection. July started out well….. I am super excited to say on Saturday 9th July, I actually completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge, 25 miles, 12 hours and 4,569ft of elevation! It was the hardest thing I have ever done, I have never wept with exhaustion before. Amazing team of people who worked together to get up and down all 3 peaks – Vicky, Craig, Mick, Rhys and Bree the hound – I love you all hugely! Thank you for making it such a special day!
My youngest, Daniel is finishing primary school and transitioning into secondary school (September), Abi is finishing her first year of A Levels and getting ready for her last year at school (September). As a mother, I feel lost but at the same time so proud of both of them for being amazing children, soon to be adults! Both are entering a new chapter in their own journey of life, one which needs to be embraced and taken with huge optimism and excitement. We had school plays, sports days, leavers assemblies, leavers hoodies, last day at school tears and a final farewell to Year 6 and the first year of A Levels….
All of the last month’s activities have totally taken over my life and so I need some time to reflect and process. I haven’t done great on June’s goals so I have decided to give myself a month off and not share any goals for August, only the intention that I need some time, family time, me time and time to reflect and review.
I hope you have had a good month, please feel free to share your highlights in the comments?
Live, love and laugh (and take some time out)
