Janine’s Personal Blog – February 2017
Welcome Hublets! It’s time for reflection on the month just gone and to set my intentions for March, so here is my personal blog for February 2017.
I always welcome February as January is just a dull, dark and meh month in general. February started with HUGE excitement as we prepared for Abi’s 18th birthday. I have to admit, the excitement was not on my part, in fact, I actually really really struggled to get my head round the fact I was the careful owner of one young adult. Although she will always be my baby, she is, of course, legally an adult and my work is done. By this I mean, I have done all I can to prepare her for the world and all it has to give her – my struggle was knowing I left home at 18 to travel the world – she could do the same! Reality slap in the face!
After being selfish and struggling with this concept, I stopped and looked at Abi and what we have achieved over the last 18 years. She is a beautiful young lady, with the world at her feet. She is hilarious, annoying, gobby and the most caring young lady I know – I love her dearly and I am so proud of her, what she has become and everything she will achieve. This milestone seemed to dominate February however I am truly grateful for it.
However as the month raced past, I can always feel in the air the season changes coming. Towards the end of the month, I felt unsettled and uneasy. I decided the best way to deal with this was to let it be. To look inwards and know that the season change is part of my goals and word of the year (which you can read here) – TRANSFORMATION and to embrace it. This last week, I have been a ninja! A productivity ninja – I have been focussed, productive and organised and I am also looking forward to doing the same thing with our eating plan over March. I may have bought some new cookbooks (yes more books) and got distracted by meal planning! My intention for this year was to lead a much healthier lifestyle and eat better. Time to nail it.
My overall goals for 2017 are now forming part of my everyday routine:
However, my specific goals for March are:
- Nail our affiliate plan
- Organise a retreat with Jess – some FBH / Jess / Janine time
- Start writing our first e-book
- Get my personal blogging back on track and wrap up my accounts
- Update my website and LinkedIn profile and all my personal social media channels
- Make the most of my weekends off (I work every other weekend now so need to make the most of my family time)
- Nail meal planning – lifestyle changes!
How was your February? I would love to hear how your month went?
Live, love and laugh (and nail it)
